WooBarb at a Makey-Do

Hello folks,

Just to let you know that WooBarb will be at the first Makey-Do on 11th July in the very pretty Kent village of Sandwich.

So.....Tell Us About Yourselves......

We decided to tell you about each other by using a series of bizarre questions, so here goes:

Barb.

1) Barb - use 3 words to describe yourself: "Weaving not Darning"

2) Use 3 words to descibe Woo - Quirky, Creative and Courageous

3) How long have you known each other? - Seems like we have known each other a long long time but actually only quite recently and we met in "Made in Hastings"

4)How would you describe your work -Developing

5)What are your favourite fabrics and why? - Anything natural and especially with a texture of some kind, particularly 40's-50's design or vintage Kimono fabric. Why...I am very nostalgic when it comes to fabrics.

6)If you were an animal - what would it be and why? - Meer Cat because they make me smile, seem as if they like to have fun and look out for each other (one will keep lookout while the others party, my interpretation not David Attenbroughs!)

7)If you were a biscuit - what would it be and why?- Chocolate covered ginger but only if the chocolate is fair trade. Why, as I have got older I have developed a taste for ginger and love choc so the combination is the best for me.

8) Most admire- I think I have to say since my accident and the near loss of limbs then anyone who suffers such things and is living in a part of the world without our health service.

9)It's a cold and miserable Sunday afternoon - what movie would you put on and why? - Fried Green Tomatoes at the whistle stop cafe, why? watch it and see.

10) What's so great about WooBarb? - We inspire each other, have fun, both committed to good quality can drool for such a long time over what might seem like scraps of fabric to others. As a team combining our skills we are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to dreaming up exciting ideas and planning adventures in cloth.

WooBarb is a collaboration between 2 crafts people - Woo and Barb - hence WooBarb!!

We want to introduce each other so shortly there will be some details here all about us both from each others point of view.

However, there are a few things we have in common.

1. We both got kicked out of The Brownies when we were girls for being naughty.
2. We both like wearing dresses with jeans and are obsessed with NoaNoa clothes.
3. We both find dead flowers interesting.
4. We both like fondling fabric.
5. We both realised reading this list that we sound completely insane.
